Were working on behalf of a 92-bed medical center in the town of Stafford, CT. Nestled in Northern Connecticut, the hospital employs around 1,100 staff members from our surrounding communities. It is the largest employer in the region. The hospitals emergency department has been recently upgraded and addresses any form of acute care needs for the local communities. The Emergency Department also coordinates with level 1 and level 2 tertiary care centers in order to provide the best quality of care. The hospital performs surgeries on site; therefore they have a medical surgical unit as well as an ICU. In addition, they have a labor and delivery unit and an adult inpatient psychiatric unit.
Looking for a new opportunity? We seek a medical technologist (MT-ASCP) with three (3) or more years supervisory experience in a complex laboratory operation for the role of Lab Technical Services Manager. In this role you will establish and support the overall technical operation of the Collaborative Laboratory Service in order to provide excellence and quality of laboratory services to patients and providers and outreach clients. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the Core laboratory, Rapid Response laboratories, Collection sites and the Receiving/Processing areas, and Pathology.
Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree and seven (7) or more years general laboratory experience. Must have at least three (3) years experience as a supervisor in a complex laboratory operation. Must have MT-ASCP or equivalent. Must have detailed knowledge of laboratory quality assurance/control. Must be able to to maintain high standard of CLS performance and test results integrity. Must have experience in dealing with personnel to include performance reviews, setting goals and objectives, and disciplinary action. Must have strong leadership skills.
